Any idea where to buy buttons at normal prices in brooklyn - crown heights or boro park?

buttons are VERY expensive.

You can find reasonably priced buttons at the sewing store on 13th Ave between 45th Street and 46th Street.
As a second option, try Sew Splendid on 13th Avenue between 50th Street and 51st Street.
