But we are not referring to mothers who bring their kids for the whole tefila. We are talking about bringing the kids for shofar only (and perhaps a little bit before or after).

Davened at different minyan than dh.
Dh went to minyan that started at 5:45am. First day he was home by 10:15am (or so). We made kiddush,motzi, ate breakfast. Then I went to shul for mussaf.
2nd day- ds was ready to go earlier. Dh went to shul at 5:45am, I got there with ds at 9:30am or so. We took turns watching ds. Then dh took him home when early minyan was over at 10:30am.
Plan for Yom Kippur is for dh to go to early minyan again, and I will be able to catch mussaf at the very least. Not sure yet if I am staying home for Kol Nidrei or not.
