would you take monies from someone for finding them accommodations for succos ... part of me feels guilty - but I did put in work on cleaning up a house and moving two workers to 2 different locations ... making sure there were enough beds - setting up heaters, etc. - plus we'll have to pay for the heat ...

If you are providing decent accommodations and you are bothering to go the extra mile, then I don't see why not. If you have a hachnosas orchim basement where everything is already set up all the time... then you can pass.
