Maybe, though I have yet to meet a Lubavitcher who eats gebrokts on Pesach.

Ditto.
All the Lubavitchers I know, do not eat gebrochkts.
There are many that will eat processed/packaged foods,
or give them to their children, but not any foods that
contain Matzo Meal.

...but you didn't give me a recipe! I no longer eat gebrokts but my parents and sister do, and my sister is makpid to bake gebrokt cakes so my father can have them for kiddush and doesn't have to wash when he comes home from shul at 9.00 AM. So if you still have some recipes in the dusty reaches of your attic, my sister would love to have them!

I made it in a pie pan, of all things
a loaf pan might make it higher than you'd want as brownies are meant to be flat

Okay, we'll try a pie pan (or my sister will, if I can convince her to bake another cake...) Thanks for the recipe.

We use matzah, oil, wine, grape juice, sugar (boiled), and salt. I find that I can make food that is very special and tasty. It's different from the way I cook during the year, so we all enjoy it and don't feel deprived. I don't even feel a compulsion to go out and get chometz on motzie Pesach. I make things like ices (freshly-squeezed fruit juice, boiled sugar, and water frozen) for treats.
Can someone explain to me how she washes dishes with salt and lemon? I have heard of/known people who do this, but maybe someone can explain the actual logistics for me, since I have never seen it in action.
