I heard you are not suppose to use metal to cut tzisis. the person we buy our tziziusfrom recomended we cut them wit out teeth, it takes time but it works.

Yeah, DH uses a plastic knife. You can't use metal to cut them.

I think you're not supposed to use anything that is mekabel tumaa. I never heard of this before DH told me, being a girl I was never much interested in the halachot of tzitzis.

but won't they unravel ... and get pasul if you cut them ...

if you put crazy glue on the strings- at the part where you want to cut, then when it dries, I think it should be easy to bite off with your teeth...something like that..dh used to do this, could be I'm saying it wrong but I dont think so
