So since I just B"H had a baby I have had someone watching my dd everyday and she has been taking very nice care of her from what I can see.
I asked her to help me out the morning of the bris and she agreed to come in very early and then the next day told me instead she will sleep over the night before (there is a room for her). It was VERY accommodating of her as she is a married lady with 3 teenage children and she slept away from home to help me out which I think is a very big deal and very sweet of her to do. She took care of my dd in the morning, got her dressed, fed her at the bris etc. I didn't have to worry about my dd being cared for.
But how do I compensate for that in a way that she will be HAPPY? Do I give her a days salary for staying the night on top of the day or do I do time and a half since it was technically after hours? So like her salary for the day plus another half? Or do you double salary for overtime work?
I want to be nice and fair....to keep her happy. She's been invaluable these past few weeks.
