Probably 1 1/2 cups. I've never heard of 1/12 and I don't have measuring cups for it either.

I make almost the exact same recipe except I use only ground walnuts and 4 egg whites. I add 3/4 chocolate chips, too. They are soft and chewy and they disappear so quickly in my home. I am making additional batches each day.
A gut yom tov everyone!

Do the egg white have to be beaten stiff? Or just beaten with a fork/whisk?

Happy to. I just unpacked my pesach recipes yesterday:
3 C ground walnuts
1-1/2 c Confec Sugar ( I just use plain sugar now, and I can't tell the differernce)
4 egg whites (just mixed with a fork, don't have to be whipped)
pinch cinnamon
--opt -- 1/2 C choc chips
make rounded spoonful and place on pan. leave space between them for expanding.
bake 12-15 mins. Should be a little soft.
Enjoy!

But confectioner's sugar has cornstarch in it. It's not Pesachdike. what are you using instead?

You can also easily make your own confec. sugar in the blender. It may not be as fine but it works.

You have to blend it with matza meal or potato startch. Stuff we don't use on Pesach.

chocolate moose, btMOMtoFFBs wrote in her original recipe that she just uses plain sugar,
not the KLP confectioner's sugar.
