Comes to mind the phrase (from the story of Hillel) : ' "challel olov shabbos achas" in order that he should be able to keep many shabbosos.'

There is actually a concept of having a Jew do certain melachos for you on shabbos in a case of pikuach nefesh/choleh as its KAVOD Shabbos. I'll find the source if someone wants, but has to do with not giving non-Jews the impression that shabbos isnt so important so we'll let the non-Jew do anything for us.
