Honestly, I did. sometimes it was the only way to rest when preganant or with a newborn, and keep the toddler happy. But it was only in my bed, and when it started to feel wierd, around age 3-4, I stopped. It was more of a desperation thing. Rolling Eyes

Don't you cover your hair at home? I'm surprised that a child even notices.

My 3 yr old also begs me to brush my hair. So far I haven't let her, but I'm never sure how strongly I should resist because maybe it's not such a big issue. I do cover my hair at home, but she's not blind. She sometimes sees me changing from snood to sheitel or vice versa and she's definitely seen my hair.
I totally understand her because I was obsessed with hair as a kid and also, I happen to like th efeeling of someone playing with my hair.
Any insights?

What am I missing here? Please enlighten me. Assuming your toddler doesn't yank your hair or slobber all over it, but plays gently, and doesn't interfere with your normal activities of everyday life but indulges during your one-on-one playtime, what's the problem? Maybe she's destined to be a hairdresser/sheitelmacher.

I don't see what's wrong with a girl playing with her mother's hair. When we were little we used to do that to my mother after candle lighting and she loved it. If it were a boy, it's a whole different story.

I wouldn't, but I like my personal space.

If you were ok with it, the one thing you would need to make clear is that this is a home activity and not an outside activity... so your child doesn't yank down your tichel in the supermarket checkout line because they're bored.
