Have any of you successfully made a crumb topping or streusel with oil instead of margarine?
If so how do you do it? Do you just use 1/2 cup oil for 1 stick margarine or do you have a secret?
Thank you.

yes, I use oil and it's just fine. I can't tell you a measurement. I just pour in a little oil at a time, and keep mixing until it seems the right texture. Good luck!

What would you put this topping on - kugel or crumb cake? Is it sweet, even though you are adding flour and salt?
