I have a girl that does chesed at my house. She recently broke down and told me that her father is extremely verbally abusive to her & her mother. He keeps yelling to the girl "leave my house, I hate your guts, You're ruining our lives, I hate every pound of you..." she is overweight & this kills her the most.
Things only get worse over time & her mother has no plans of leaving him. She said she is interested in talking to someone or going to therapy. I will get her to speak to her mother about it but want to give her information for free counseling (or covered by insurance) in the Boro Park area. Any names of any therapaists that has expertise in this aera?

call Relief, an organization that refers people to necessary therapists. I don't know if they can assist with the financial aspect but you can always ask them about, and see what they say. you can also call anonymously, they give the case a number no name.
