Hamodia reported that sources maintain it should be twenty eleven. Does anyone say that?

Two thousand eleven.
Your other years are nineteen eleven, two thousand, nineteen hundred, a thousand, a thousand eleven, nine eleven.
Don't ask me why.

Usually 2000 11 but I've also said 20 11 at times.
Why would one be more correct than the other?

You say it however it's fastest. So the years from 2000-2009 are 'two thousand nine' because 'twenty-oh-nine' doesn't save any time. But once you get past that, 'twenty-eleven' is faster than 'two thousand eleven'. So that's what is used. However, as many people are accustomed to saying 'two thousand' due to the last ten years, it'll take it awhile to stick.

I say twenty eleven
I said two thousand and..up until 9 then I changed to twenty...simply because its easier to say!
but to those of you who say two thousand and eleven did you say one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine or just nineteen ninety nine?
