I heard a mother calling her daughter "Reeshy" the other day. I couldn't figure out exactly what the full name was, but I assume it was Rishona. Anyway it was a very cute nickname.

I might be out of place for asking but why raish and yud?
is it from an english or yiddish name? or to match another name?
if it is from a name in another language maybe a translation can be an idea?
