You could wear shells underneath or close them up with some fabric cut off the length.

I love this one, it may be my Pesach dress this year, 39 inches is below the knee on me, if you love the Davids Bridal dress, check the actual inches and it may be longer-- models are all tall and long legged!

I tried on that Kate Spade dress in the store. Looked good on the hangar, but didn't cover my knees when I sat down, and I'm only 5'4"
I actually tried on a lot of Kate Spade dresses recently that were so pretty and springy and so close but not quite :-(
