Is there still likely to be DOT parking ($5.50 for the day?) available? If not, what should I expect it to cost me in a private lot?
I am done and going on the subway is going to take energy I just don't have. We are meeting friends in Manhattan (they live in California, we live in Israel and we are meeting in Manhattan) to go on the ferry so we have to get there.
If you happen to also have information on local (mehadrin, preferably dairy) kosher establishments either on Staten Island or in Manhattan near the ferry I would be very very grateful. I don't know the lower east side but I have a GPS.
Thanks!

It's very hard to find even paid parking downtown.

Very expensive. Better to drive to SI, park there and take the ferry both ways. Parking in that part of the city is expensive and hard to find.
