We are a low income family with little money for home designing and decorating. Our front room is in dire need of a paint job. Before we call a painter, I was wondering what the latest style is, since we probably won't be doing this again anytime soon, lol! Is it all white/off white like twenty years ago, or every wall a different color? Or is it all the walls the same color with one darker/lighter variation on wall #4? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Remember, money is an object, so nothing too elaborate, please.

Honestly, if you're not going to be painting again for a long time you probably don't actually want the latest style which will become obsolete shortly. Go with something more classic that won't look completely outdated a few years down the track.
