Hi,
We are moving to Israel in a month!
I rely a LOT on having a reliable internet connection for my line of work. The rav we asked who is in RBS ( not our rav ) said that usually in his community people have a "internet buddy" that has access to the browsing history. Here in the US I don't have any filters on my computer, but I know I can't continue like that.
I am just nervous the kosher filter will block certain sites that I need ( facebook...etc)...how does it work in Israel in general? We are yeshivish here in the US, I think that is called american chareidi?
Anyone?

you don't "need" an filter - I don't think it's different here then in the states
it's to protect from the same thing
b'h intenet connection is reliable here and I usually don't have issues.
(I also rely on internet for work as I am a web programmer)

OP, I know many families that have internet at home for parnossa. we were very upfront with all my kids schools. One of the schools has a blanket 'no internet' rule, but we explained that without it there would be no money coming in, and the school has been very reasonable about things. Another school just wanted to know what filter we use.
connection is usually pretty good, except for last night when there was a huge thunderstorm and my dh's skype conference had to be postponed for half an hour!
