I've been going to the gym twice a week with a few other Frum women. Mondays we have a class, Wednesdays we go on the equipment : treadmill, elliptical, bike. This Monday during class I pulled my neck, and while it's much better now, it still hurts. I did walk around a bit yesterday and it didn't seem to make it worse, but that's obviously not the same as treadmilling. Should I go and hope for the best or give myself a rest?

I'm glad you went. Your gym's trainers may be able to give you some advice on what to do and what not to do with a pulled neck muscle.

Unfortunately, I don't quite trust the trainer. I told her I was afraid of certain exercises because I have a tendency to get stiff neck and she just laughed at me and told me to stop being afraid... I've learned my lesson; I need to trust what my body tells me...

if you're only doing machines, you should be fine. certainly by monday !
