I am reluctantly looking into getting myself a credit card - 1st time in my life. I hate the idea but I think it's important.
What would you recommend? I know I will read about many different opinions as to why yours is great so please specify why and then I can make my decision based on what my needs are.
I don't plan on spending much - it's just to build a credit history. I want easy, good service (and any benefits but that's a plus.)
Thanks!!!

do not make any major purchases with the card. only small purchases and repay it right away. ppl very easily get bad credit from credit cards. my dh worked in credit repair. also don't close cards as it may cause bad credit.

I have the Chase Ultimate Rewards credit card. I have my checking, savings and investment account with Chase as well, so it makes the whole money managing process really easy. I like the credit card because there are no yearly fees and I love getting cash back or gift cards every couple of months. In fact, I just got a $100 gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond and a $25 gift card to Amazon in the mail today from cashing in my reward points. Shopping, here I come!
