My daughter will be turning 5 in two weeks, and I've been going back, and forth deciding what to buy her. She's been begging me for a cupcake maker for several months. Has anyone bought one? Where could I find a kids-friendly cupcake maker in stores or if need be, online? Which brands are most reliable, and good quality?
Thanks!

Do NOT get the Baby Cakes Cupcake Maker
It only makes tiny cupcakes, as long as it takes in the oven and is a pain to clean.
[Can you tell I hate it]

I would convince her to get something that she can use more. She'll probably enjoy it once or twice...

A cupcake maker? Is that like an Easy-Bake oven? Some kids use them over and over, but for most I think it's more of a novelty than anything else.
How about a day of baking with mom with real tools in the kitchen instead? If you want to bake something child-sized, use a small pan in the toaster oven. Maybe a gift of baking tools?
Sorry, I know that's not what you were looking for, but IMHO a great gift is one that a child still uses and enjoys long after the novelty wears off. Also IME, very gimmicky things tend to be disappointing in quality as well.
