OK, so that was a little tongue in cheek, but, here's the problem. I left a load of laundry (mostly my sweaters, jean skirts) in the washer a little too long. When I realized that I had "forgotten" it, it had a little bit of a mildew smell, so I washed it again, cold. Mildew smell still there. So, I washed it warm (took out the 2 things that were supposed to be only cold)...most of the stuff is ok, but one jean skirt still stinks. It's my favorite one! From "Stylish Jeans.com"! What do I do? Do I wash it hot? I never wash denim hot. I never know any of these laundry tricks. I know, I know, the trick is to not leave it in the washer for days and days.

You have to get that smell out; can you soak it in warm water and detergent? Then wash again.
Use the hot water option as a last resort.
Using fabric softener will help with the smell! So will hanging it outside.

Thanks guys! That was close, but I think we can save the skirt. Baruch Hashem. Even though it is dangerously close to touching the floor. But not quite.

I second the Fabric Softner idea. (the liquid kind)
Use a little more if that's what it takes..
