Is there anything wrong with this, or not so aidel in yeshivish circles?
Would you discourage it?

I have no idea what other people do or don't do, but as a parent, this is not something I would make a fuss over.

I'm Lubavitch, not yeshivish, but I'm fine when my 4 year old son wants to sleep without a pajama shirt. Unless it's cold.
In Lubavitch boys eventually sleep with tzitzis, which means with an undershirt, so I don't think a pajama shirt will be necessary on top at that point anyway.

I don't like it much, but when it's really hot, nu.
One son went to a yeshiva where the mashgiach would check in the rooms that the bachurim had shirts on to sleep.

why? do your neighbors have a habit of peaking in your childs room? if so, there are bigger problems to deal with.

What could possibly be wrong with SLEEPING with no shirt on?
We dont know where you live, but here in Israel, it has been very hot lately.

right now it's 92 degrees in our apartment, we have 4 fans going, and my 3 yo dd is completely naked, watching Snow White. I don't know how you ladies in more yeshivish circles do it.

My toddler wont sleep with anything on. When he's ready to go to sleep his shoes need to come off and then his socks and then his shirt and pants If he falls asleep with clothes on in middle of the night he will cry for me to take it off. It could be because of this heat and he gets so hot when he sleeps.

Who cares?? I dont get why this would be an issue. Why do you have to ask other "yeshivish" people what they do??

What's the issue? Is this some new chumrah I missed? Let him sleep comfortably.

So does mine -- he is a "shvitzy" kid. The only thing I don't like about it is that if he wore an undershirt it would perhaps absorb the sweat and make him more comfy, but really, what's the big deal? Should I post this as anonymous cuz it could hurt him when it's time for shidduchim?
Unless I'm missing something here.....?

And if this is a problem in yeshivish circles, who's going to know what your son wears to sleep?

Big fan of the "choosing your battles" thing. If I were you, I would definitely not choose this.

Some people are more or less sensitive to hot (and cold!).
I had a discussion with friends in middle school, does one sleep in nightgown/pj with or without underwear. Many had a very strict idea of what was "normal"
I think the "yeshivish" question, is that in some charedi circles men are supposed to sleep with tzitzis. Right? Is it that?
