Quote: | From the occasional pogroms, bookburnings and destruction of synagogues, to the Nazi massacres and Communist repression of anything Jewish... |
Does this sound right? I feel like something's wrong with the pogroms and bookburnings in plural and the destruction in singular. Should I make it "the occasional pogrom, bookburning and destruction...." or "pogroms, bookburnings and destructions of synagogues"???
TIA!

No, you should make pogrom and book burning singular, since they were "occasional". You should also leave out the comma after synagogues.

the sentence is not finished yet and is already too long. try breaking it up into two sentences.
