My cousin is studying this and is driving me crazy that I should also study this. I love computers and usually fix my own problems.
My question is, is it weird for a woman to be a computer technician?

NO! If you enjoy it why not? I like technical stuff- not so much computer repairs more working with software. I once took a course and my friend said it more of a mens course as it is technical - so what I was not the only lady doing the course but I was the most tech savvy of the ladies.

I know someone like you, and she never tookny courses to becom professional.
So she just helps people for a fee, whatever they can bring to HER home to repair, she does for a small fee.
This way she makes some money but doesn't work too hard.

She also fills up iPods for people with songs of their liking for a fee.
