What bracha are you supposed to say over quinoa?
How do you check it? The package doesn't say if it's prechecked. The cooking instruction says rinse and drain but aren't the grains too small for a regular colandar? It also says use 4 cups water for 1 cup quinoa, but it sounds a lot, would it end up too mushy?
TIA

I always buy prechecked but I think you check it like rice(not 100% certain). Rinse in a sieve well for a couple minutes to get rid of the bitterness and cook a cup of it with 2 cups water, like rice. I always do it like this and it turns out great.

I wash my quinoa in a metal coffee filter.
The reason to wash it is to get rid of the bitter coating, though I have seen pre washed quinoa.
The Bracha is hadama / boreh nefashot
