All these threads have made me nervous. I bought nice containers that I planned to fill with two challah rolls (homemade) and two homemade dips. The dips will be in small deli containers. The container will be lined with something so that challah isn't touching the main container.
So- would you eat, or toss? I don't want to go to all that trouble if no one will like it. (As a side point, I'm a very good cook and will be using popular recipes)

I would not throw it away.
I would eat it and enjoy it on Shabbos.

If it smelled extremely fresh, I might eat it.

I wouldn't even get to eat it because my kids would all want it first!
Just make sure the dips won't be sitting out for hours. Maybe whoever delivers can tell the person who takes it from them to eat it soon or refigerate it. If no one is home, maybe skip that house and wait till hopefully they come to you.

I would definitely serve the dips on shabbos....but I might not eat the challah. ;-)
(I am super picky about challah and only like it fresh fresh fresh)

I'd definitely eat it.
I'd recommend wrapping the challah in saran wrap to keep it fresher and make it *look* fresher.

Yes we would love it!! Ignore the haters that seem to find complaint with everything someone else does.

yes, except shabbos is quite far away from purim. I don't usually eat dips during the week. (my husband might) I might serve it during the purim seuda though.

I did something similar one year (a few rolls, and 4 dips in a sectional) - It was a huge hit!
