My son has a mishkan project. We will be using wood to build it and we would like to paint/spray paint the wood.
If you have any experience, do you think we should be painting then assembling or assemble then paint?

my ds built a model of the menorah with two other boys when they were in fifth grade. they built it out of tinker toys, plastic cups and foil. we spray painted it after it was assembled. the boys did everything themselves aside from the painting.
if you are going to be using regular wood planks, its probably better to paint first. because my ds used plastic and foil, we painted after (the paint peeled off with too much handling)
have fun!

my sister & I did that in 6th grade ... ah the memories
[but we did it ourselves]
which comes first - depending on how much you plan to hide - like if you're going to putty the nails or screw heads - I would paint it afterward
