We are looking for a religiously diverse community when we make aliya this year. Someone suggested Petah Tikva but I could not find it on the NBN community list.
We are looking for a place where a person wearing a sheitel will not stand out and where the same person wearing a jean skirt will not stand out. We need good transportation because we will not have a car.
If you live in Petah Tikva, can you please give me some insights?

I used to live in PT and still have friends and family there. You definitely will not stand out wearing a shaitel and a jeans skirt. But PT is huge (relatively speaking) and the newer and better areas are quite expensive.
You should be able to get more info from NBN.

NBN doesn't have info on Petach Tikva in their community data base. Don't know why. DH says it might be that there's no contact available to give info there.

Thank you. | I grew up there and my mother still lives there as does my brother. It's a great place and you will not stand out. There is a lovely Young Israel in the older Kfar Ganim area (as opposed to the many newer areas) which is full of Anglos. Transportation is great. It's a city. And I can't imagine why it's not on the NBN list

I can't imagine why it's not on the NBN list. There are much smaller places on the list!
