Imagine you had to keep kosher, and you lived someplace where there were NO reliable hecksherim on packaged foods. What would you eat? That pretty much sums up the diet.
When I shop, I avoid the center of the grocery store. Fruits, veg, milk, meat, sometimes a quick dash down the soap aisle, and that's it. It's so much faster if you just shop the perimeter! The closer a food looks to the way G-d originally made it, the better it is for you.
<--- carrot juice!

I find you start looking at food differently and end up not really wanting the other stuff.
Even if once in a while I do give in and have something sugary, I end up feeling nauseous, not finishing it and and craving some fresh fruit. You just come to really appreciate the fresh and real stuff.
