Can someone explain to me the pros of Linked In?

I have a small freelance business and it's in the process of expanding. Would it be worthwhile for me to have a profile on Linked in? Why?

I'm also self employed and have gotten a lot of clients off of linkedin.

you need to have a keyword rich profile that is fully filled out and has a call to action.

you need to be in linkedin groups.

you need lots of endorsements and recommendations.

you need lots of connections.

once you have all those things, multiple people per week will ask to connect with you. You begin the conversation with them and many of them are open to working with you--- they sought YOU out.
