I misplaced the homemade pickle recipe and would love to make them again. They were a big hit, and would love to make them again.

Pickles are very easy to make. I usually do it in the summer when I have access to the very small kirby cucumbers but you can use larger ones. Wash them well and put as many as you can into a quart jar. Put in chunks of garlic, a few whole peppercorns and some sprigs of fresh dill. Then in 2 cups of boiling water dissolve 2 tablespoons of kosher salt. Pour into jar adding additional solution if needed to fill the jar. Cover tightly and place in the sun or a sunny window for 4-5 days. Then refrigerate.
