I don't know current prices. Last time I bought a shaitel from her 5 years ago (yes that's an endorsement!) it was $1000 for a 16" semi-custom. The time before that was 13 years ago for a full custom for $1400.
ETA: If you are not too experienced, maybe take a mayven with you (some local shaitel machers will do this as a service). I found some of the shaitels a bit frizzy (naturally--they are not treated, which is good!) and some too sleek/thin for my taste.
