Hello there,
DD has crazy curly very long curly hair which is out of control and can only be worn in a pony.
We are looking for someone to cut it and style it, and if possible, someone to teach her how to do so by herself as it is very difficult to manage.
Prefer a salon or an established place or person in Midwood, Flatbush, or BP, who is patient and affordable!!

They're pretty expensive, but Ouidad Salon might be exactly what you are looking for. My mother insisted that I go there once when I was an older teen so I could learn techniques to control and style my curly hair. It was worth the $$$ to get a proper cut and tutorial. I never went back because it's pricey, but the techniques stayed with me.
