I am interested in selling my dining room furniture which is in perfect condition.
Its a four door china closet, a table, and 6 chairs. I paid about $8000, a little more cuz I have a glass top for it
How much do u think I can sell it for?

How old is it?
If it's brand new, you can probably sell if for around $6500.
If it's 3 years old and in perfect condition, maybe $5000, 7 years old maybe $3,000...
The price depreciates with time and use.

Its 5 1/2 years old. Used for maybe a year.
I didnt really use it for the first few years of our marraige. I ate in the kitchen since I didnt wanna make another room dirty.
Call me crazy!

I would check on Craigslist for comparison purposes. Our dining room table was probably about $2,000 new. We paid $300.

Sorry, but I think you're being overly generous. Furniture loses value rapidly. I second the suggestion to look for comparable listings on Craigslist, and if you want a Jewish equivalent, look in the Torah Times, Hamodia and Jewish Press classifieds, and luach.com.

We bought our dining room set when it was only four years old. The owner bought it for 10,000 and sold it to us in pretty good condition. We bought it for 2,000

You might be right and I was being generous.

OP, it is a good idea to see what similar sets are going for before you decide on a price based on assumptions.
