Parenting should be about what the correct thing for you to do is as a parent with a family that you love and care for.
Parenting is not corporate training. If you raise your child well and they turn out poorly (they won't) it's not your fault.
If you don't want to yell at your kid, don't. If you do want to, also don't.
Your child is learning from what you do, not from what you tell them to do. Yelling at a child teaches them to yell. Enjoying the time you spend with them teaches them to enjoy the time they spend with people.
Take time to stop and smell the roses instead of worrying what kind of shidduch you'll get if you watch a movie with them one night.
