I'm having a hard time finding Shabbos clothing for my 1 1/2 year old dd. I don't like the satin, poofy dresses (find that they stain) and anything I see in gap, Burlington, etc. look too casual.

Suggestions? Feel free to post a link of something specific. Thanks!

I like this type of thing:

http://www.ruum.com/ruum/detai.....60077

comfy jersey material, little girlish, can wear with or without a shell or sweater, and the sequins are fun. I have a couple in this style from target a few years ago. they wash very well.

I've been successful at Macy's in general. I think they might have things that you would like.

Something like this: http://www1.macys.com/shop/pro.....Id%3D

Thanks! I like it (wish it had thicker straps but it's definitely an option- especially for the price!)

Any pretty top and bottom or dress should work. Where does she go on Shabbat anyway? Is she still in diapers? Did you mean 11 1/2?

Cute! I also like the beige one in the top row. Thanks!

She is one and a half. During the week she wears denim and khaki with Walmart or carters shirts. I'm all for casual wear- especially for kids- but not jeans and a T-shirt that says "grandma loves me" on Shabbos.

I'm glad I was able to humor you with my inquiry

Buy her black leggings, a shell type shirt, and a fur vest. Zara or H and M has them. Zaras are around 40- H and M is 25. All the jewish companies have them for 100, but personally I find that a little insane.

I think that little girls look cute in leggings and a top. You can try to find in Gap or whatever, or just walk into a Jewish store and buy one. There is a new company now that makes really pretty shirts for around 25-30 dollars. One of those and a vest and you should be good to go.

I find fur vests on toddlers to be pretty distasteful. I know it's a thing, but I don't get it. especially when the kid drools/chews the fake fur/sheds/rips bald spots, etc.

Would you get her a two piece Shabbos robe?

Where are you located? All of the adult robe stores should carry toddler sizes. For winter they usually have a two piece velour pants and top or sometimes even a regular Shabbos robe (dress). Depending on your kid, either could be an option.

Here was one from the summer that comes with leggings. I'm not crazy about it, but the stores will have more styles & I know many people with this robe who are happy.

Thank you! I don't know if I would get that one exactly, and it's a little above my price point, but I'm going to look into them. Do you know if their stuff lasts/is worth the money? Thank you!

How much are you looking to spend? Nordstrom has very cute dresses and outfits.

The printed tops would be adorable with coordinating leggings and maybe a cardigan.

It should last the entire season. Some people re use for the next kid. If you go into a store, you should be able to find discounted prices on last year's robes, even for children.
