Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get coverage? I am in the process of applying for my family, and it seems that the only way to get approved for coverage is if you are not currently insured. We have temporary coverage under BCBS just for the month, and need coverage from jersey care starting next month- but due to their policy we won't be insured until they approve us, which they say it could take a month. Don't really wanna be uninsured for that long so I hope this is not the case..
Please respond if you know anything about this, thanks!

It can take long time to get ur coverage I found things moved quicker if I dropped off the paper work instead of mailing it. Someone told me if u go to the free clinic on 2nd and Monmouth for an appt u get approved faster.
Good luck.

I don't understand what people do while waiting for coverage.
Also since they don't give retroactive coverage it just does not seem like a good system at all
