I had a food stamp phone appointment scheduled for Wednesday. I had to forward my home phone number to my cell phone because I was at work. I was tense all day. and the call never came. Now I am trying to get through to the office and keep getting a message. Does anyone know what I have to do?

sometimes they're so overbooked that they forget to call you - and then they take you off -

leave a message on your caseworker's voice mail ... write down the date & time

It depends where you live, but I found that phone messages did not help. What did help was going down in person to the food stamp office, waiting for a couple of hours there, and speaking to a person. The other thing that sometimes helps was calling my local councilman.

Yeah, it doesn't mean anything. You left a message for your case worker? Then youre fine. They'll call you when they need you... I once had that they couldn't get through to me and when I called back the caseworker sed its firne, we have all the information we need.
