I was popping prepackaged popcorn in the microwave, and instead of putting the bag in for one and a half minutes, I did two and half minutes. The microwave began smoking, and now there is a burnt odor in the kitchen and also in the microwave. How do I remove odor of burnt popcorn from a microwave and also in the kitchen. Thanks.

In a microwaveable bowl stir 1 tablespoon cinnamon with 1-2 cups water. Microwave on high for about 3 minutes.
This should do the trick

Wipe down the microwave with vinegar.
It will smell like vinegar for a little bit but then disappear
Do you have windows near the kitchen, if so open them up, and wipe down the counters with vinegar.
Vinegar absorbs smokey burnt smells.
