He's scared of the machine cut...scissor takes forever

It's understandabel--the machine makes a buzzing sound and practically eats up his hair. Why wouldn't it eat HIM up, too? So scissors take longer--let him have the scissors cut. He won't be little forever.

how old is he ... get a machine with colorful combs ... make it a little more kid friendly ... a cute cape ... stickers or treat when he is done ...

this is my 7 year old, and this just happened this year... he used to sit no problem..

we all want a little attention ... it is not too old for fun stuff ... also, it is a stage that will pass especially if he had no problem before now ...

Who is using the machine, you or the barber? If you are doing it, try oiling the blades very frequently throughout the haircut so that it doesn't pull. Let him wear earplugs for the noise.
