Freezing homemade falafel

Has anyone tried it and worked?
I have a really good falafel recipe but it asks for hot pepper. I tried to take it out but then it tasted as though it was missing something. I need a recipe that kids would eat.

this question is confusing me ... is it about freezing it ... or hot pepper -

how long was it in freezer ... if you wrap it properly cant see how it is any dif than the store bought ...

add more hot pepper while warming them up ... maybe ...

1. How would freezing them change the taste after defrosting them.
2. I need to make these for kids and the only recipe that I have calls for red hot pepper. When I omitted them they tasted as though it was missing something. I am asking if anyone has a recipe that doesn't call for red hot pepper.

they sell them frozen and it works, right? why would it be worse for you?

For some odd reason I have realized that freezing store bought items and homemade is different. Once it is defrosted it usually tastes different.

the preservatives in the store bought already frozen probably preserves the taste ... but who knows ... I personally do not like much of anything frozen ...
