Yes, if I go to a chol hamoed film, I'll probably end up going to this one.
No idea who stars in it, though, but they look pretty good. Love the vintage look!

That does look intriguing. Do you know where they are showing it.
Anyone know of any others?

Another film - Not a showing, but a DVD- I am so excited to watch Shtetl this chol hamoed!
As far as other films, do you get the Mishpacha, Bina, Ami, etc? They should all have advertisements from all the films this week with the timings and locations.

No, it's a showing being shown to the public, sorry for the confusion - I was just saying that I'm really excited that the Shtetl DVD came out in time for Pesach. I couldn't make it to the Shtetl play and was looking forward to the DVD for a few months.
ETA: Sorry, I don't know why this posted anonymously.

I just saw My Sister, My Keeper in the Binah-it is a public showing.
Dina Perlstein's are usually amazing, although sometimes too scary for my taste.
Maybe I'll wait to hear feedback from people after they watched it...
Happy cleaning everyone!

I was at My Sister, My Keeper today, and it was MAGNIFICENT. Definitely worth checking out. It was extremely professional, and a very enjoyable watch. My sister went to Dina Perlstein's film, and said it did not have a good ending, which I found weird....
I am planning on checking out The Edge tomorrow...
Anyone have any feedback on M. Barzel's On a Mission? The ad looks intriguing...

I've never been to any of these Jewish movie showings but have been thinking of possibly taking my 9/10 year old one night this week. Any good ones that both of us would enjoy? Or are these just for adults?

I don't know if I would take a 10 year old to My Sister, My Keeper, since there was one scene with a gun, but otherwise it was very enjoyable. From what I've heard and seen advertised, none of them are really appropriate for a 10 year old, as the crowd today (especially the teenagers) are looking for action...
There are always concerts...

We saw an ad for Passing Inspection which appears to be a comedy that teenagers will enjoy so we're going to try it out

Did not see that advertised, but I did watch it a couple of years ago. The Tessler films are always entertaining. I do remember there also being a rifle, but it was not scary in context (a woman trying to shoot a mouse...)
All in all, very entertaining. Enjoy!

I went to Dina Perlstiens Gifts In The Dark last night & really enjoyed it. I wouldnt say it's for a 10 year old though there were lots of young girls there

I'm deciding between The Edge (Boruch Perlowitz, based on the book by Nachman Seltzer) and On a Mission by M. Barzel for this evening's entertainment. Anyone have any feedback?
