Gonna post anon cuz I have spoken about this in real life

DD 1. High school. Never has school Sunday. She has off Monday Tuesday and Wednesday

DD2. Has school on Sunday. She has off first Sunday, Thursday Friday and Sunday again.

DD 3. No school Sunday. Has off Wednesday Thursday and Friday.

So ultimately, other than Sunday, I don't have any days that they are all off together.

Same for three of my kids. One has vacation starting on Sunday.

Why do they start late? Are the kids staying up to late to light the menorah?

Schools that start late on chhanukah, its usually because they presume a lot of kids are going to be going to parties at night and staying up late.
