My Nanny recently left, she was great, I got her through Rockabye.
Have not been successful in getting a good new one through the agency,
have tried several agencies, and no success.
It is so stressful and frustrating.
Any one have a good nanny that can do housework/laundry/cleaning and take care of a baby (and help with older kids when home from school), that has common sense and ability?
Taking good care of the baby is priority.
And for not too expensive...
At Rockabye, payed the Nanny 400 a week.
I need a live in.
Please post or PM me if your great Nanny happen to just finish her job by you:)
Or if you have recommendations.
I really need someone good ASAP.
Thank you

That sounds like a lot of work for $400 a week. Minimum wage is $11 an hour and while a live in gets a weekly rate that includes a room, the amount you'd like to spend doesn't sound reasonable.

That is the agencies rate.
In any case, mommm, where is "peace of mind" based out of? Are their Nannies from a certain country?
Thank you for the response

Btw I think that rate is only if you take the nanny for a minimum amount of time ( a month?) and it's for new inexperienced nannies. They're basically learning on the job which is why they're not getting a regular normal salary.

Yes the ones I have tried/had were all new.
The one I had for a long while, never did this job before, but she had potential, some brains and intuition, so I was able to train her, and she did great. She was so sad to leave. When she comes back, whichever family gets her is very lucky.
Some of them, simply are not cut out for such a job, as much training and patience you provide.
Better yet, not even sure how some past the screening to be part of the agency!
"Peace of mind " said they have someone good for us. Hope it works out.
Rockabye also said they are conducting new interviews with more woman and will see if they can find a good match for me.
This isn't rocket science, there is just 1 baby home all day...
Anyhow good luck to everyone else out there trying to find Nannys.
Thank you all for your replies

Are you still looking for a nanny? I heard of a new agency that just started. They service NY and NJ. Call them at 585-304-0322 or email sweetpeacebaby@gmail.com.
