We need to choose new health plans through NY State of Health. Essential Plan for me, Child Health Plus for kids. My doctor and pediatrician both take all plans. We aren't attached to any specialists at this time. Mental health care is important to me for both myself and the kids (my previous plan wasn't accepted by even the clinics that take medicaid and everything!)
Would love to know if any CHP plans cover ABA or similar home therapies, ABA was prescribed for us a while ago when we were on a Medicaid plan and it wasn't covered. I don't know if we still need it but in case it comes up again I wonder if it is more possible now. Didn't seem like it at the time, they told me I would need to get a more expensive health insurance in order to get it.
