Where do they sell Kalei Tzom?

I don't know about grape juice, but I do know if you fill up on Carbs the day before the fast, you may be exhausted the night of, but the next day you'll be fine, and the fasting will go much easier.

I usually fill up on bread which I don't NORMALLY eat, and pasta and it really does make it easier.

I heard that as well, especially for nursing mothers.
But don't forget that it's assur to drink grape juice in the nine days. I have done it when Tisha B'av was on Sunday, or on Erev Yom Kippur.[/b]

The makolet had 3 versions of Kalei Tzom - pink, green and blue. Anyone know which is the pregnancy one? It didn't specify on the package what the difference was. I ended up buying the blue one, but I'm sure I can exchange it if they still have any left.

maybe they're all for preg. The pink if you are having a girl, the blue if a boy, and the green if you don't know. LOL

btw you can't drink grape juice but yo CAN eat grapes, so instead of grape juice, I eat plenty of grapes. that also helps, and of course watermelon.

erev yom kippur I use the grape juice because by then the grapes are not good anymore or you can't get them in the store (in israel).

Green is regular
Blue for Breastfeeding
Pink for Pregnant (like my mneumonic? Wink

)

And you can always check the ingredients if they're on there...if raspberry (tones uterus), pregnancy, if fennel (helps letdown), nursing, if ginger, regular.

Does that mean 1x a day for 4 days or 4x the day before the fast?

would taking the nursing ones help a pregnant woman?? any ideas?

I think 4 time on the day before the fast...the Hebrew says something like that.

No, nursing ones wouldn't help, unless it's the placebo effect...reasoning being is that it's completely different formulas! And I strongly advise NOT taking it as some herbs ok during nursing are contraindicated during pregnancy.
