Would you buy the same dress but in different colors? One is light blue and one is black.

if I knew it fit me well, and looked good, I'd buy 1 in every color!

I have the same sweater with embroidery and beading in three colors, plum for winter, light blue for spring/summer and off white for yomim noraim. But then, I'm not a fashionista.
If you're a teacher of high school girls, though, keep one for teaching and one not!

If it's simple, classic, and fits me well, I would absolutely buy one in every color (and I often do.) There are so many ways you can accessorize, no one will ever know it's the same style.
(Oops, now you all know my fashion secret! )

I have bought the same things in different colors. Once J Crew had in incredible sale on classic cardigans. I bought one in every color. It was some years ago, and they are still in style.
