About the paper... Is there anyway you can go paperless and scan all the documents that need to be saved?

It's also good to be able to tuck my chair under the counter.
But it's also good to have drawers.
Amazing how a day and a half ago I didn't have this dilemma at all.
It's true, "marbeh nechasim, marbeh daagah."

I'm already spending too much time working on organizing things that I already have on the computer, so I'm thinking no. Plus, I'm more visual/concrete - I work best with real things, not with digital. It was painful for me to throw out the printouts of everything that I could just print out new, but I did it because there was no point wasting time and space on things that I have either online or in my computer files. But it's not worth the time to scan, save, and organize years worth of papers. I don't save very much, I think two smallish file boxes will do - one for teaching materials, and one for personal/family documents.
