Do you make basmati brown rice? How much water do you use and for how long do you cook it? I keep messing it up.

Toast it first in the pan. So nutty and delicious. Follow package instructions precisely.
How is it messing up?

It wasn't enough water, and when I added it was too much or two little.

Toast rice with a drop of oil.
Combine 2 cups water for every 1 cup of rice in a pot and bring to a boil.
Cover with lid, reduce heat to lowest flame (that's key) and cook 40 minutes.
Remove from heat, but do not peak under lid! and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.
