I have a five-drawer HON filing cabinet. Do I empty the contents into carboard boxes or leave all the files inside the drawers and hope the movers manage...?

Has anyone tried moving with the contents remaining in the filing drawers?

You can take out the drawers and have them "wrapped" in the stretchy plastic wrap (the movers usually have a very heavy-duty version that works on EVERYTHING). The drawers can then be liften individually (or in pairs) and the filing cabiniet isn't the heaviest piece of furniture.
